  • WHAT ARE MY OPTIONS IF MY BABY IS SENSITIVE TO DAIRY PRODUCT?

Lots of people think lactose intolerance and dairy allergy are the same, but they’re not.
Lactose is the carbohydrate source. Lactose Intolerance is when the body can't digest lactose, which is a type of natural sugar found in milk.
Dairy Allergy is when the body reacts adversely to the milk proteins. Hydrolyzed formula (with broken down proteins) can help.

  1. Hipp HA is a hypoallergenic formula that is an option for sensitive needs babies. Since milk proteins can trigger allergies, Hipp HA uses hydrolyzed protein. This is where the milk is split into simple molecules that can be less foreign to a baby’s system.
  2. If your baby is sensitive to both protein and lactose in cow milk, Hipp comfort will be a good formula for her need. The milk protein in HiPP Comfort is easier to digest thanks to hydrolyzed milk. It also contain less lactose for babies that have issues with their digestion or babies with colic, gas and constipation.
  3. If you are concerned about cow milk allergies for your baby, you can consider Goat milk formula. The milk proteins in goat milk are smaller so it is easier to digest. It also has less casein and lactalbumin which can also trigger dairy-related allergies.

  • HOW LONG IT TAKES FOR MY BABY TO ADJUST TO A NEW FORMULA?

It can take up to 2 weeks for babies to adjust to new formula. Gas and constipation are fairly common side effects. Unless your baby has a major adverse reaction to the new formula, this is nothing you should be worry.
Constantly switching formula can put your baby's digestive system under a lot of strain, especially for infant under three months. If you do switch formulas, introduce the new formula gradually to give your baby time to adapt.

  • I NOTICE AN OPTION TO PURCHASE "DAMAGED" PRODUCTS, WHAT DOES IT MEAN?

Every once in awhile, we have products that arrive damaged from importing. If the quality of the product is compromised at all, or no longer sealed/leaking, we will throw it straight in to the garbage. However, it is often just cosmetic damage. The exterior of the box or tin may just be torn or dented, but the product inside is still sealed and new. If cosmetic damage doesn't bother you, this is a great way for you to snag your favorite products at a discount!

  • SHOULD I BE CONCERNED OF THE BOX WAS DAMAGE DURING SHIPPING?

If it’s formula that was damaged, then you will need to check that the internal aluminum pouch is not damaged. The cardboard boxes are made of organic cardboard that’s fragile and unfortunately the shipping process does occasionally dent the boxes.

  •  FORMULA DENTED CANS

Please understand these tins are not made of actual metal and when being shipped they dent easily. There is nothing we can do about this. Tins are shipped in new condition. During transit they are likely to dent. They are 100% safe to consume. Here is a statement by HiPP concerning the safety of a dented tin. “All the tins are made of organic carton and do NOT carry any foil or metal parts inside the tins. Therefore there is no harm in dented tins for the milk product itself. Common sense is when a tin is completely smashed and the milk has been in contact with other products we would recommend not to use it (Hygienic / Food safety reasons)."

  • WILL MY ORDER BE X-RAYED OR IRRADIATED?

There is an extremely low chance your order will be x-rayed when it is processed through customs. However, none of the formula is exposed to irradiation. Infant formula or cereals are not subject to irradiation.
Please note that irradiation and x-raying are two totally different things. Irradiation is a complex mechanism, that perishable products go thru to kill any potential germs or bacteria to prevent the spread of disease in the country where the product entering.
X-raying is a simple thing, just like when you go through an airport, everything that enters or exits in a country must be x-rayed. Even your handbags and luggage is X-rayed when entering through the airport or via sea route. It’s a simple process of customs clearance without opening boxes and physically testing.

  • MY CHILD'S PEDIATRICIAN RECOMMENDED AMERICAN BRAND OF FORMULA. WHY SHOULD I CONSIDER PURCHASE EUROPEAN ORGANIC FORMULA?

We understand why you may be skeptical about choosing a formula that was not recommended to you by a healthcare provider, but we urge you to take a good long look at the formula’s ingredient list. Most formulas do does not contain any organic ingredients, which means, these formulas are loaded with pesticides and GMOs, which have not been proven to be safe for human consumption. The first ingredient in this formulas are corn syrup. In other words, highly processed genetically modified sugar. Similac, Enfamil and other "standard" American formulas has enabled babies to be addicted to sugar from day one.
Hipp, Holle, Kendamil and Loulouka formulas are produced without using any toxic substances. The ingredients are safe, natural, nutritious and wholesome. No pesticides, chemical fertilizers, GMOs or added sugar!

  • HOW DO I KNOW IF THE PRODUCTS GOT RECALLED?

In the very rare event of the recall of a particular formula, we would notify all of our customers immediately, via the email address that they used to make their purchase.
There are currently no formula recalls for any kind of bacteria in the HiPP, Holle, Loulouka or Kendamil formulas (we have checked for you and we work closely with our certified distributors who would let us know if there were any recalls). Recalls for bacterial contamination in the formula are immediately disseminated by the European Food Safety Authority.
Furthermore, we have not heard anything from our customers or the large European formula feeding community we are a part of. You can check for recalls for products here (including infant formula).
